We invite all high school students and directors to participate in this year's exciting High School Honor Band Festival, held on the beautiful campus of Southern Utah University. Students will be selected by audition to rehearse and perform outstanding wind band literature under the direction of Dr. Adam Lambert, Director of Bands at Southern Utah University.

Students selected for the SUU High School Band participate in two days of rehearsals and activities culminating in a concert at the end of the second day at the beautiful Heritage Center Theater in Cedar City, Utah.

Band materials on the audition page include a complete score for use during a full band rehearsal to facilitate a collective effort in your preparation. Separate parts are available for each instrument and, in some cases, a lower register option is provided.

Directors are encouraged to print the audition materials from our website. For submission, please upload your video performance to a private YouTube channel then provide the link in the application information below. (Please make sure the link works and is accessible). 

The registration fee is $30.00 per applicant upon acceptance.

Accommodations are not provided; however, there are many hotel options in close proximity to the rehearsal/performance hall. The final concert is scheduled for 4 pm on January 10th. (Concert dress is of your choosing - please wear whatever you traditionally perform in for similar performing experiences.)
