DESCRIPTION:The SUU Commercial Music program presents A Million Dreams\, th
 eir spring showcase\, on February 13\, 2026\, at 7:00 p.m. in the Heritage 
 Center Theater. This concert is FREE and open to the public. Featuring Alte
 rnate Currents\, Direct Currents\, Commercial Breaks\, Grupo Batuque do Tro
 vão\, Backyard Arcade\, and the SUU Choirs\, this concert will have music f
 or everyone!\n\nDigital Program\n\nAbout the Commercial Music Program\n\nTh
 e Commercial Music program at SUU was started in the fall of 2022 and allow
 s students to learn songwriting\, recording\, music technology\, entreprene
 urship\, and performance skills\, all with an emphasis in commercial/contem
 porary styles of music. The Commercial Music ensemble Alternate Currents fe
 atures a horn section\, rhythm section\, backup singers\, and a lead vocali
 st. They play a variety of classic Pop/R&B tunes along with original songs 
 written by members of the group. The group won the "Best Band" award in the
  2022 SUU Battle of the Bands and recently performed on a national stage at
  the NAMM show in Anaheim\, CA.\n\nA scholarship for Commercial Music stude
 nts was created as a means of supporting these young musicians in pursuing 
 their educational goals. Please consider donating to this fund by clicking
