The Animal Services Management Leadership program provides animal services managers, coordinators and supervisors with the knowledge and support necessary to influence and manage change within their organizations. The program prioritizes efforts to align organizations with the culture and needs of the communities they serve. Participants are nominated by Best Friends regional and national leadership and approved by a selection team. The program facilitates the development of management leadership skills for the purpose of increasing lifesaving in animal shelters.

Southern Utah University will award an Institutional Certificate and up to six academic credits to those who complete the program. Beyond the program, and dependent on educational backgrounds and goals, participants will have opportunities to earn additional academic credits that may be applied toward SUU bachelor’s or master’s degree programs.
