Strengthen Visitor Experiences Across Utah

Utah Tourism Essentials is a statewide learning initiative developed through a partnership between Southern Utah University’s Community & Workforce Development, the Utah Tourism Industry Association, and the Utah Office of Tourism. The program is designed to enhance the quality and consistency of visitor experiences throughout the state.

Program Overview

This three-course bundle includes:

• Utah Tourism Connections

• Tourism Guest Service

• Tourism Stewardship

The courses are tailored for frontline employees in lodging, dining, transportation, recreation, and entertainment, helping them understand how their roles work together to create an outstanding and sustainable guest experience.

Drawing on SUU’s proven expertise in workforce upskilling and industry partnerships, Utah Tourism Essentials equips communities to:
