Utah Tourism Essentials
Strengthen Visitor Experiences Across Utah
Utah Tourism Essentials is a statewide learning initiative developed through a partnership between Southern Utah University’s Community & Workforce Development, the Utah Tourism Industry Association, and the Utah Office of Tourism. The program is designed to enhance the quality and consistency of visitor experiences throughout the state.
Program Overview
The program features four core courses designed to equip workforce professionals and industry leaders at every level:
Utah Tourism Connections
Tourism Guest Service
Tourism Stewardship
Tourism Leadership*
Course Bundle Option: The first three foundational courses (Utah Tourism Connections, Tourism Guest Service, and Tourism Stewardship) can be taken individually or purchased together as a discounted 3-Course Bundle.
*Tourism Leadership: This standalone course can be taken individually at any time. Please note that it is separate and not included in the 3-course bundle.
These courses are tailored for frontline employees and leaders across lodging, dining, transportation, recreation, and entertainment—helping them understand how their roles work together to create an outstanding and sustainable guest experience.
